Mark Wigglesworth's thoughts on saving ENO

A really thought-provoking and agreeable read of Mark Wigglesworth's solution to the English National Opera's recent artistic and financial troubles of late.

As part of a mentor scheme with the ENO chorus at the moment, it's been a really interesting to observe the atmosphere of singers who's jobs are on the line. Regardless of what's going on with the company, after watching their recent production of Mozart's The Magic Flute I think that English National Opera is capable of creating extremely inspirational productions. Definitely the way opera should be going!
